Although it goes without saying, Effect yarn is highly popular and widely accepted globally in Denim (Known as Amsler Yarn in trade) other applications like Leisurewear, Home Textile, Toweling, Knitted and Woven Fabrics is gaining significance today in variety of respects.

Amsler yarns can be broadly classified into three categories

a) Amsler Ring Slub effect yarn
b) Amsler Ring Multi count/Multi Twist Yarn.

Principle of Amsler Effect:

-Normal yarn is formed from the basic machine speed
-A microprocessor controlled servomotor only over feeds
-With a pre-programmed Textile Ramp.

-With Amsler the servo drive system is connected to the back and middle roller via the Amsler Slub Gear Box. Existing ring main drive constantly drives the back and middle roller and only at the time of slub formation servomotor starts with a pre programmed textile ramp and additional speed is given to the drafting system. So with Amsler system, the normal yarn formation is not disturbed. This is how strong effect without weak spots are formed

While with Competitors and with inbuilt systems, drafting gears directly connected with servomotor. So Servo motor drives continuously the back and middle roller to form normal yarn and slub yarn. While making especially thicker and short slubs weak places generated at the end of slubs. In this case, customer has to adjust every time the ramp (Trial and error Method) To have minimum THIN place. Because servomotor has to accelerate and then decelerate within a short time. Because of the inertia there is every possibility of formation of THIN place after the effect, which will create Problems in further process.The Weaving efficiency drops significantly.

Multi Count Effect:

Multi count Effect is a special kind of effect produced by synchronized draft and twist variation with AMSLER control devices. Amsler-Multi count are produced with a second servomotor connected to the front roll. Amsler-Multi count yarns features controlled count changes in length as short as 2 meters while maintaining a constant twist level. Amsle-Multi twist yarns are yarns that features a constant count but have different twist levels inside yarn. These different twist levels create variations in the yarn’s dye intake thus creating a special fabric appearance.
